**Finally, a day without monsters.

But, it's not like all the problems are over with. Val moves out of bed and... just about falls out of it. There's a nice thud in the house, and a very young yelp. The journal flips to the floor just the same.**

Oh my... this again? Can't have a day's peace, can we? Well, I always thought I was a cute child.

Mmm, I'm Kirimi's size again. I'll have to see about borrowing some of her clothes for now. I just might go see everyone anyway.

**And so, after getting dressed properly, a girl of short stature and floor-trailing hair is wandering about, floating on a nice breeze. (Looks surprisingly like this girl though.) Anyone is encouraged to interrupt her adventure to see anyone she knows (Golbez, Nel, Ceodore, Charlotte)

Hmm... now that I remember. And differently for that matter. You were already... well, plotting the world's demise via another's control. Where Kain and Cecil were rightly tricked into assailing Mysidia.

Matter of fact, it was one of the other fie- elementals that had put them up to it. But, do go on. I'm curious to hear the rest.

[He pauses at that.] So things had already deviated that far from what I remember by that point. I see.

Well, in my world, the attack was rebuffed. Kain was no match for Cecil and I working together. But we couldn't stop him from getting the other crystals. We traveled the world to try and get them back, but leaving Mysidia unguarded proved to be the worst thing we could have done. Kain's superior, Baigan, stole the crystal while we were gone.

In our travels we met many people who aided us in trying to track down the stolen crystals. Yang. Edward. Palom and Porom, though they came from Mysidia with us. We met Rosa again as well, and... in the village of Mist, your mother.

**Val makes note of some of those he mentioned. Some she heard of, some she got to meet. At the least, she definitely knows Edward and Yang.**

I see. Well, by the sound of that, it seems you and Kain simply switched roles. Not that I mind at all.

Yet, no mention of the ninja boy Edge, or Rydia. Anything of them?

Possibly. Though if that's the case, I'm most displeased with the way things turned out in the other worlds. [He frowns.

But he chuckles at Val's question.] I don't know any Edge, but as for Rydia... when I said I met your mother in the village of Mist, who did you think I was talking about?

[If ever a revelation could equal or beat out the sight of him without his helmet...]

**No, this reaction far rivals that. The poor girl's so shocked she falls backwards, slipping from Papa Golby's shoulders!**

[Fortunately, this Golbez has trained Daddy reflexes and catches her easily and with a rumbling laugh.]

That's more or less exactly why I didn't tell her about it. The her who is here, anyway.

**She helps right herself, sitting properly again.**

That is something else. She quite hates me now. I could never picture her as my mother.

I don't suppose I've got three brothers as well, do I?

Well, circumstances between you and her were quite different in your world. Trying to compare the two is like night and day.

[He shakes his head.] Only one, a refugee from Damcyan who we adopted. We named him Rubicante.

**Val doesn't seem too pleased.** Only one then... and him... I suppose it's better than dealing with all three of them. Although you probably haven't seen me grow up, there's me, Rubicante and two others you created, each of us based on the four primary elements.

**Val plops her little hands on daddy's head** Me being a child is... entirely coincidental, but, from what you recall, was I this cute. **She smiles down at him, giving him a face full of her hair.**

Mmmm... So you and your brothers are the elemental lords in your world. I suppose if I was involved in your creation that stands to reason. There were beings like that in my world as well but... they were vastly different, and far less appealing.

[He smirks, and flicks her nose.] I can tell when you're fishing for compliments, you little imp. But yes, you're every bit as charming back home as you are here.

At least I don't sound that much different to you. **She gives daddy a little squeeze.**

I'm sure you would've liked to see your little girl all grown up too. Hmm... I wonder if I would've turned out the same too. Once I go find her, maaaaybe you'd like to meet my girlfriend sometime? **Now, her turn to shock daddy!**
