Of course I still am my brother's brother. And I certainly remember all about Zot and Babil. But considering our last meeting, reacting with animosity would be rather unfair to you. And why would I have wings? I'm quite certainly not dead.

Rather than being my master, Golbez is like a father to me now. It's something that's happened since I've been here.

Well, I did die, at your hands after all, but still, so much has happened here besides that. You needn't die to be given wings. Simply, be brought here... naturally. Today seems to be a quite rare event. There is another, less friendly Cecil that lives here.

Now, this story about "rescuing me". I've not heard anything like this from Ceodore, and, as far as I had known, I was killed within the Giant of Bab-Il.

Then we saved Queen Asura and King Leviathan, who had been possessed... And then I woke up in a strange world with Rosie in my backpack. I know nothing of what happened next in our world.

Kain wanted to help me? I can't help but wonder just... Did something happen that made Kain change his mind? He and I still cannot get along after two years...

But yes, I do have my own little family even if... there's always a chance it can be taken away in an instant.

To us, it has been seventeen years. He's had more than enough time to mature and let go of his anger. Perhaps that was his way of making amends?

...More than anything else, that is the cruelty of these worlds. The bonds we create can be ripped apart at anytime...

Ahh... yes... You're right. While death here is far from permanent, being sent away... that's what worries us all, even if we are returned home.

It took a long time, but... it seems we were all able to let go of our hatred, in the end.

Death is not permanent in this world? How is that possible? It is not natural, yet it would mean that you need not fear losing loved ones to strife or violence...

Well, as I understand, there are consequences to death, losses, but, even then I don't believe those are permanent either.

It's the people that hold us here. They have a use for us... and likely more than one just fighting their battles for them.

Do you have enough leverage to negociate better conditions with them?

A girl I know lost her voice in exchange. Others have lost abilities, but, it's not as though people die often here. I've certainly had my fill of it.

Voice and abilities? That is inconvenient, but certainly worth less than a life. Do these losses come back after a certain time?
