Action: House 51

[[Everything was nice and right in House 51 once again! "Daddy" Golbez was alive and kicking (again), and was it ever fun to see him react in such a manner. Kirimi had just come back as well! And she even got to beat up on Kain for a good bit.

That was almost the best part, actually... almost.

In any case, Val thought she'd try something special, now that the family was back together! Cooking.

Granted, she's never done this before so... this is just ripe for disaster. And she was trying to stick with something so simple as well, pancakes. Trying to stir the batter seemed easy enough, considering she could just use the wind for that, but... she ends up splattering much of it about the kitchen.

And then cooking them... That was it's own disaster... smoking up the kitchen... At least Valvalis can blow the smoke out of the house! But, who knows what people may think about that! And people should know this is the house Kirimi lives in!]]

I expect you over for breakfast. That is an order, from your big sister.


[[And once everyone is up and about, we can all try to sort through the pancakes that aren't black as coal! At least she's trying!]]

[She blinks a couple times at that, then turns to look at the pancakes. She tries not to stare.

Yes, let's. Alright, let's start with the mixing...

[She grabs a mixing bowl and starts setting up the eggs, flour, etc. next to it.]

[Something you need to learn quickly, Val. Just about every baking recipe calls for flour and eggs.

Nel nods in approval as she doesn't send everything splattering around the kitchen.]

Okay, good. I'll add ingredients as the recipe calls for them then. [There's no actual recipe in front of them, but Nel has it pretty much memorized at this point.]

I'm sorry I made such a mess. I just wanted to do something special now that we're all back together!

[Once all the various ingredients are mixed properly and the batter looks about right, Nel turns on the stove and warms up a frying pan.]

I know. [She slips a hint of wry humor into that statement.] But you can be patient if it's important, I know you can.

Don't worry about that, Val. I can promise you, the rest of us would rather wait a bit longer if it meant things turned out better.

Neither have I... maybe that's it. Compared to us, being taken twice sounds like a lot.

... I'd rather they'd take me three times than either of you even once though.
